LDAC - The First Few Days
So you made it to LDAC. Now what?
When you arrive on site, you'll be met at the airport and prepared to move to Ft Lewis. On arrival, you'll meet your peers as they come in from traveling.
As you sign in, you'll be sorted out into your platoons. The people you arrived with or even flew on the plane with may not be with you in your platoon or even your company.
During the introductory time, (usually) the first cadets to arrive will be placed into temporary leadership positions. These positions are not evaluated, but they do help by providing the cadre an advanced look at how you will perform, so be responsible.
It's important to remember that this is the only opportunity before you get inundated with training that you'll have to meet your peers and get to know them and their strengths and weaknesses before having to deal with them first hand. Utilize your time wisely.
